SPYCRA Sil-Tape is a silicone-based, soft, and gentle tape that is easy to apply and remove. The silicone gel contact layer ensures optimal adhesion and gentle removal.

Purpose

SPYCRA Sil-Tape is a skin-colored, soft, and gentle silicone-based scar tape on a roll. The tape is thin and easy to apply to the skin – including toes and fingers. Thanks to the perforation, the tape is easy to tear into pieces of the desired size.
The tape is designed for securing medical devices such as dressings, drains, tubes, and electrodes. It is especially suitable for sensitive and fragile skin, as removal does not cause pain or skin damage.
The tape is soft and comfortable; it can be torn or cut from the roll to the desired size and repositioned as needed.

Dosage

1. Make sure the skin is clean and dry.
2. Tear or cut a piece of tape to the desired length.
3. Apply the SPYCRA Sil-Tape to the desired area.
4. Store the tape roll in its original packaging in a dry place.

Remarks

Ensure that SPYCRA Sil-Tape is applied in the normal way (not stretched). Depending on clinical need, local steroids, local antimicrobial agents, or hydrogels may be used under the SPYCRA Sil-Tape. The use of hydrogels, emulsion creams, or ointments under the SPYCRA Sil-Tape may reduce the tape’s elasticity.

Precautions:
1. SPYCRA Sil-Tape may come off in hot climates or during exercise that causes sweating.
2. Wash the area with soap and water before use to reduce discomfort and itching.
3. Avoid using creams on the tape application area, as they may weaken the tape’s adhesion.
4. Do not use SPYCRA Sil-Tape on open wounds.
5. Do not use SPYCRA Sil-Tape as the primary fixation method for intravenous cannulas, infusion ports, or other infusion and/or life-support devices.
6. Do not apply SPYCRA Sil-Tape over silicone gel on the skin of individuals allergic to it.
