Purpose
Cardiosan contains a combination of three B vitamins – folate, B6, and B12 – as well as magnesium. This combination of three B vitamins promotes the metabolism of homocysteine and the normal functioning of the immune system. The Quatrefolic folate contained in Cardiosan is a bioactive form of folic acid (L-methylfolate) that acts directly in the body without the need for enzymes to convert it into its active form. Folate promotes normal amino acid synthesis and normal blood formation. Additionally, it is involved in the cell division process, supports tissue growth during pregnancy, and helps reduce fatigue and exhaustion. Magnesium, B6, and B12 vitamins promote normal energy metabolism and help reduce fatigue and exhaustion. Homocysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that exists in various forms in the bloodstream. About 90% of homocysteine is bound to protein. It is formed through enzymatic processes from the amino acid methionine and is eliminated from the body via the same enzymatic pathways. Disruptions in enzyme function (hereditary) or deficiencies in vitamins (folic acid, B6, and B12) lead to elevated levels of homocysteine in the body. Elevated homocysteine levels cause excessive oxidation of LDL cholesterol, alter clotting factors, and increase platelet aggregation. By ensuring adequate intake of folic acid, B6, and B12 vitamins in the diet, homocysteine levels can be lowered. Cardiosan is suitable for regular use.
