Citric acid for preservation and descaling. Made in Finland.
Purpose
Preservation: berry and fruit preparations max 2 g/kg, juices max 12 g/kg. Dissolve in a small amount of water and add to the finished product. 12 g of citric acid is approximately 1 tablespoon.
Descaling: Coffee maker: Dissolve 2 tablespoons of citric acid in 0.5 liters of cold water. Pour the solution into the water tank and let it drain halfway. Turn off the machine for 30 minutes, then let the solution drain completely. Finally, rinse by boiling 2-3 pots of plain water. Dishwasher: Add 2 tablespoons of citric acid to the detergent compartment and run the machine empty on a 60–65 C wash program. Washing machine: Add 100 g of citric acid to the detergent compartment. Wash empty without pre-wash on the hottest possible wash program. Repeat with detergent. Removing limescale stains from tiles/glass surfaces: Dissolve 2 tablespoons of citric acid in 0.5 liters of lukewarm water. Spray the solution onto the tiles from a spray bottle and let it sit for a moment, then rinse the tiles with water.
