SmectaGo is intended for the treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children over 8 years old, as well as for the treatment of chronic diarrhea or abdominal pain in adults. The caramel cocoa-flavored SmectaGo is packaged in ready-to-use sachets. The creamy content is consumed directly from the sachet.

Purpose

SmectaGo is intended for the treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children over 8 years old, and for the treatment of chronic diarrhea or abdominal pain in adults.

Dosage

Acute diarrhea:
Adults and children over 15 years old
Start with two sachets, then take one sachet after each loose stool, but no more than six sachets per day.

Children (8–15 years old)
Start with two sachets, then take one sachet after each loose stool, but no more than four sachets per day.
Those suffering from diarrhea should also take oral rehydration solution to replace lost fluids and prevent dehydration.

You can use SmectaGo product for the treatment of acute diarrhea for up to three days.

Chronic diarrhea or stomach pain
Adults:
Up to 3 sachets per day (one in the morning, one midday, and one in the evening) as needed.
The product should not be used for more than two weeks without consulting a doctor first. Long-term or recurrent use is not recommended.

Pregnancy and breast feeding

The use of SmectaGo is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is advisable to consult a doctor or pharmacy staff regarding the use of the product during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Remarks

Contact a doctor if
- Diarrhea lasts longer than three days.
- Diarrhea is accompanied by fever, chills, or recurrent vomiting.
- The patient shows signs of dehydration (intense thirst, dry tongue, fatigue, or persistent loss of appetite).
- There is blood or mucus in the stool.
- Diarrhea is associated with sudden weight loss.
- Diarrhea occurs during or after a course of antibiotics.
- The patient is known to have a weakened immune response or is on immunosuppressive medication (immunosuppressive drugs or cancer treatment).
- The patient has recently returned from the tropics.
Do not use SmectaGo
- If you are allergic to diosmectite or any other ingredient in the product.
- In children under 8 years of age with acute diarrhea.
- In children suffering from prolonged diarrhea or abdominal pain.
Other medications and SmectaGo
SmectaGo should not be taken simultaneously with other oral medications, as it may reduce the effectiveness of the other medication. It is recommended to delay taking SmectaGo until two hours have passed since taking the previous medication.

Ingredients

The main active ingredient in SmectaGo is diosmectite, 3 g per dose sachet. Other ingredients include Caramel cocoa flavor*, xanthan gum, sodium benzoate, hydrochloric acid, potassium sorbate, sucralose, and purified water.
*Composition of Caramel cocoa flavor: a blend of natural and synthetic flavors, food coloring E150d, caramelized sugar syrup, propylene glycol E1520, water, ethanol, caffeine.
