Purpose
Virbac HPM Dog Urology Dissolution & Prevention U complete food is a special diet for dogs to dissolve struvite stones and reduce the formation of struvite and oxalate stones.
Always consult your veterinarian before starting a special diet for your dog. Special diets should only be given to dogs according to a veterinarian's instructions.
Vitamins, trace elements, and fats are not heated, unlike in many other complete pet foods.
Contraindications: growth phase, pregnancy, lactation, chronic kidney failure, heart failure.

Increases water intake
The food contains high levels of raw protein and sodium, which help increase water intake and the volume and frequency of urination.
Low struvite RSS value (<1)
The food helps keep urine undersaturated for struvite, lowering the struvite RSS** value below one. This promotes the dissolution of existing struvite stones/crystals and prevents the formation of new stones/crystals.
