Thin and flexible non-stick dressing for burns and damaged skin. Prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound.

Purpose

Mepitel One is a thin, cuttable, and flexible dressing used under an absorbent dressing to prevent the dressing from sticking to the wound. It is used for burns and damaged skin, among other things. Mepitel One can be kept in place for up to 14 days.

Dosage

Clean the wound and carefully dry the skin around the wound. Remove the plastic protective film from the Mepitel. Place the sticky side against the wound. Mepitel One should be placed at least 2cm over the wound area on healthy skin. Apply a secondary dressing if the wound is leaking and secure the dressings in place. Change the secondary dressing as needed.

Remarks

After treating burns with re-epithelialized grafts and after planing, the skin may be left with marks if the product is not used correctly. Always check the wound for signs of infection. Patients with epidermolysis bullosa must exercise special caution.
